Three ways through the field guide

A linked guide can be read as a sequence or as a set of crossings. The routes below provide a starting order without turning the folder tree into a conceptual hierarchy. The same topic can belong to more than one route: evidence is part of creativity, and politics is part of how an instrument is built.

A first orientation

Start with What is HLC?, then move through the cultural hologram, digital trace, and latent manifold. Finish with the activation field to see why a generated answer depends on a particular interaction rather than simply exposing a stored world.

A working session

Read Epistemic posture and the telescope protocol. Run the attractor survey on a small topic, then try a boundary search. Close the session with integration, even if the result is a useful rejection rather than a new concept.

A critical reading

Begin with Persona and the feeling of an interlocutor, then examine novelty and evidence, recursive loops, and ideology and power. The question in Can a telescope become a solution? brings these limits back to the purposes of the practice.

You can also take one word as your entry point. “Attractor” connects a description of recurring output to a way of surveying assumptions. “Void” connects sparse records to the temptation to fill absence with fluent invention. “Integration” connects an exciting session to an artifact another person can examine. Follow the links that make your current question more precise, then return to the home page when you want another route.
